Who is it for?
Managers and Trustees within the Voluntary Community Sector who wish to develop their management skills through a distinct Voluntary/Community Sector focus.
How does it work?
Through networking with other managers within the sector, discussion during the course, tuition, and course materials, you will gain an invaluable underpinning knowledge of the major aspects of managing a voluntary/community organisation. In just one day a week you will have the opportunity to develop both your knowledge and the efficiency of your organisation.

Supportive Supervision

This course will inform and enable new and experienced supervisors to integrate a well acclaimed and comprehensive theory of supervision into their existing practice. The course is on offer to those with a commitment to supervision and developing the reflective practice of their supervisees. This thoroughly road tested model will provide participants with an understanding of the structure, theory base and necessary competencies required to facilitate effective supervision.

5 weeks break to provide and opportunity to apply learning in the work place

Only £200 to Voluntary, Community and Faith Organisations, £400 to other sectors.

This accredited course will help you to develop your understanding of how to support volunteers effectively and what affects the volunteer experience.
The training comprises:
- The wider view - what is volunteering, who volunteers and what motivated them to volunteer.
- Why and how organisations use volunteers, including the systems that need to be in place for the effective and lawful management of volunteers.
- Teamwork, communication, equal opportunities, and conflict and how they affect working with volunteers.
