| Description | Volunteer Centre Carlisle forms part of a national network of Volunteer Development Agencies, which provide support at a local level for individual volunteers and volunteer involving organisations. Volunteer Centre Carlisle is a service provided by the Carlisle Council for Voluntary Service, a registered charity committed to excellence in the voluntary sector. We offer confidential interviewing space to all volunteers on a one-to-one basis to find out what type of voluntary work volunteers are interested in doing. This is followed by a matching process of volunteer to vacancies available at that time. Volunteer Centre Carlisle is made aware of vacancies through its close contact with Carlisle CVS member organisations who are always in need of volunteers. We provide information and advice on a wide range of volunteering opportunities, and can help organisations with promoting their local volunteering opportunities and provide advice and information on good practice issues when involving volunteers. |
